Around the net I’ve noticed a lot of people making a New Year’s Resolution to learn Chinese.
I hate to say it, but for most of them it ain’t gonna happen.
It’s too easy to get sidetracked. Unless, of course, you go to Beijing or someplace else and take a course!
Or you CAN do it yourself if you are motivated enough. It’s really all about creating regular habits.
If you learned three words a day, that would be a habit that take you a good ways down the
road.
So would a habit of listening to Mandarin for half an hour a day, even if you didn’t understand a word of it.
There is research that indicates this helps our brains to absorb the language better.
